I have been toying with the idea for quite some time now. I finally bit the bullet and did it. Many of you know that I have played with cell phones and the cell phone industry for the past eight years. Honestly, I HATE cell phones!!! I know that hate is a strong word, but it is true. They consumed my life, they consumed my mind and they consumed my spirit. All for the wrong reasons. Everyone has to live though, right?!
I could not do it anymore. I retired. No more cell phones for me. Well, of course I still use one, but it does not consume me (except when I am checking facebook)...
My friend Katie and I are planning a cross country road trip. We have always wanted to discover the USA, its people and many different cultures. I know that there is something out there for me that is not cluttering up our minds and landfills. As Gandhi said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." For the earth to become greener and more simple, we must make some changes in ourselves. Not just for us, but for the children and children's children.... blah blah blah.
So, through our discovery road trip we will learn a lot about the country, the earth, each other, ourselves. We will let go of anxiety, open our hearts and soar to new heights. There are new beginnings out there for everyone, if you want one. Be free. Be healthy. Express yourself.
